Job summary

Walker & Sloan Ltd is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial management on civil engineering water infrastructure projects in the Wessex region. Ringwood-based with responsibilities spanning costs, valuations, payment applications and forecasting.

You will manage NEC4 contract administration, compensation events and change control while coordinating procurement and final accounts, ensuring profitable project delivery and effective client engagement.

Qualifications

• Substantial Quantity Surveying experience within civil engineering or infrastructure.
• Experience delivering water or wastewater infrastructure projects is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of NEC contracts, especially NEC4.
• Experience in cost reporting, forecasting, subcontractor management and managing commercial risk.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial delivery of civil engineering projects and ensure financial performance.
• Oversee project costs, valuations, applications for payment, forecasting and financial reporting.
• Administer NEC contracts including compensation events, early warnings, notices and change control.
• Coordinate subcontractor procurement, pack valuations, payments and final accounts.
• Maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors and project stakeholders to deliver projects safely and profitably.
