Job summary

Walker & Sloan are recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a trusted civil engineering contractor delivering water infrastructure projects in the Wessex region. The role focuses on securing commercial performance and project profitability across the lifecycle.

You will lead costs, valuations, payments, forecasting and reporting while administering NEC contracts and collaborating with operations for successful delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in quantity surveying within civil engineering or infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of NEC contracts (NEC4 preferred).
• Proven ability in cost reporting, forecasting and commercial risk management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee commercial management of civil engineering projects ensuring financial performance.
• Prepare valuations, applications for payment, forecasting and financial reporting.
• Administer NEC contracts including compensation events, early warnings and change control.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, package valuations, payments and final accounts.
• Maintain client, subcontractor and stakeholder relationships to support safe, efficient delivery.
