Job summary

MWH Treatment is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead cost management for a major water infrastructure project at Wigan WwTW. You will own commercial aspects, reporting to the Managing Quantity Surveyor, and work closely with client teams to control cost, value and contractual obligations.

Based on a site environment, you will collaborate with design, construction and supply chain teams, administer NEC3 contracts, and mentor junior staff while ensuring robust reporting and

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in major infrastructure projects.
• NEC3 contract experience essential.
• Strong client and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the quantity surveying activities for allocated projects and work packages.
• Collaborate with design, construction and supply chain teams to capture, analyse and control cost.
• Administer the main contract, ensuring notices and correspondence are issued when required.
• Prepare and issue subcontract documentation.
• Support the management and performance of subcontractors.
• Manage the preparation, submission and agreement of applications for payment.
• Prepare accurate project cost and value reports, budgets and forecasts.
• Support mentoring and development of junior commercial team members.
• Demonstrate strong commercial judgment and proactive problem solving.
• Build constructive relationships with clients, delivery teams and supply chain partners.
• Represent the Commercial team professionally with confidentiality.
