Job summary

Binnies is seeking a commercially astute Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead the commercial management of allocated civil engineering projects from tender through to final account. You will work within a project leadership team to maximise commercial performance while effectively managing procurement activities, risk and project costs.

You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, clients and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered safely, commercially and in line with programme

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Experience delivering civil engineering/infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of NEC contracts.
• Experience managing project costs and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial and QS activities across projects from tender to final account.
• Interpret contract requirements and manage commercial obligations for all parties.
• Manage correspondence, compensation events, variations and claims.
• Develop and deliver project procurement strategies aligned with programme delivery.
• Lead subcontract procurement and negotiations.
• Prepare and submit applications for payment and manage variations.
• Produce CVRs, cash flow forecasts and final accounts.
• Support project delivery teams with commercial advice.
