Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the Water and Environment team, delivering complex infrastructure schemes across the UK. The role focuses on commercial delivery, contract management, risk and cost control, while supporting major water sector programmes and developing strong client relationships.

The successful candidate will be chartered (MRICS) with experience in NEC contracts and heavy infrastructure projects, able to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams

Qualifications

• Chartered Surveyor with MRICS or equivalent.
• Experience delivering heavy infrastructure commercial elements.
• Experience with NEC Contracts and related contract types.
• Contract management experience in consultancy or main contracting environments.
• Able to prioritise, work under pressure and manage client relationships.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver complex infrastructure schemes within Water and Environment.
• Provide commercial support to large projects or programmes.
• Ensure robust cost estimates aligned to scope and risk, with opportunities considered.
• Manage procurement strategies and contract compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee contract management and post-contract commercial delivery.
• Maintain robust cost management and proactive risk management.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships across the organisation.
