Job summary

Morson Edge is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage commercial activities on a UK water sector project with a program valued at up to £670 million over 15 years. The role covers the full lifecycle, emphasising cost control, value for money and contract compliance.

Responsibilities include payment applications, risk management, and regular cost reporting, with interface to customer and project teams. Essential leadership and procurement experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Significant post-graduate commercial experience within the construction industry.
• Strong financial and commercial acumen.
• Proven negotiation and teamwork skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team.
• Extensive experience in drafting contractual correspondence and reports.
• Experience with office management systems, filing, document control and distribution.

Responsibilities

• Manage all assigned commercial activities within the project environment.
• Minimise project costs and maximise value for money.
• Prepare and agree payment applications and assess payment certificates.
• Maintain registers for variations, delays, and claims.
• Provide contractual advice to project and site teams and ensure compliance.
