Vistry Group PLC in Basingstoke is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead cost control and financial management across multiple construction projects. You will supervise the surveying team, provide commercial leadership, and ensure profitable delivery of housing developments within our Southern division.

Competenze

• HNC / HND in Surveying or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a PQS / SQS / Commercial lead working within a residential house builder.
• Experience may be gained from a similar position or promotion.
• Good understanding of building regulations and legal obligations.
• Good knowledge of construction methods and materials.
• Strong mathematical and IT ability.
• Ability to assess and analyse information.
• Good business sense.
• Good understanding of budget management.
• Negotiating and networking skills.
• Excellent communications skills.
• Able to work under pressure and accept criticism.
• Good team working skills.
• Accurate with an eye for detail.
• A methodical approach.
• Willing to work extra to meet deadlines as required.

Mansioni

• Lead, support and coach your direct reports and the wider team.
• Assist in recruitment and manage development reviews.
• Advise on cost implications in design meetings with Land, Development and Construction teams.
• Prepare and monitor budgets, cash-flow and CVs.
• Place and manage sub-contract orders and payments within budget.
• Prepare tender information and contract documentation for procurement.
• Provide monthly cost analysis and variance reporting.
• Maintain site cost information and ensure value for money.
