Job summary

Time Recruitment Solutions Limited is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our refurbishment division in the North West. You will manage the commercial aspects of multiple social housing projects, ensuring profitability, cost control, and contractual compliance.

The role covers valuations, subcontract procurement, variations, and final accounts, with hybrid working options and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor in refurbishment, social housing or property services.
• Proven cost management and commercial reporting track record.
• Experience administering JCT contracts.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage valuations, applications for payment, cost reporting and final accounts.
• Take full commercial responsibility for refurbishment and planned maintenance projects.
• Procure and commercially manage subcontractors across multiple work packages.
• Assess and manage variations, claims, extensions of time and loss and expense submissions.
• Administer contracts and ensure compliance with JCT forms of contract.
• Monitor project performance, identify and mitigate commercial risks.
• Maximise project profitability through cost control and value engineering.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and supply chain.
• Support tendering activities and pre-construction commercial input.
• Provide commercial guidance to operational teams and mentor junior staff.
