VolkerFitzpatrick is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the Buildings Portfolio as part of the Southern Renewals Enterprise. You will support commercial delivery across a varied rail infrastructure programme, including station upgrades and Access for All schemes.

The role can be based in Blackfriars, Gravesend or Basingstoke with travel across the Southern Route; a proactive, commercially astute professional is sought to lead subcontract procurement and financial governance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within construction, infrastructure or rail.
• Strong knowledge and practical experience of NEC forms of contract.
• Demonstrable experience managing subcontract procurement and commercial administration.
• Strong financial, analytical and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Experience working within the rail sector and Network Rail environment.
• Knowledge of station, building, M&E or accessibility projects.
• Membership of, or working towards membership of, RICS, ICES or a similar professional body.
• Experience mentoring junior commercial professionals.

Responsabilités

• Support the commercial delivery of a diverse programme of station and infrastructure projects.
• Contribute to delivering improvements to the railway through commercial leadership.
• Collaborate across offices in Blackfriars, Gravesend or Basingstoke with travel across the Southern Route.
