Job summary

Daniel Owen Ltd is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established property services contractor based in Potters Bar. The role focuses on commercial management of residential works, including voids, cladding and façade projects, with CVR experience essential and Coin Accountancy desirable.

The role involves managing budgets, forecasts, CVRs, and final accounts, while providing accurate reporting to senior management.

Qualifications

• CVR experience is essential; Coin Accountancy experience desirable.
• Background within property services, social housing, maintenance or refurbishment.
• Experience across voids, cladding, facades or external refurbishment.
• Strong cost-control and valuations knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Commercial management of residential works from instruction through to completion.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, CVRs and overall commercial performance.
• Review subcontractor valuations, applications, variations and final accounts.
• Review scopes, specifications and pricing to ensure value for money.
• Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities.
• Work closely with operational and surveying teams to maintain cost and programme control.
• Undertake site inspections where required.
• Provide accurate commercial reporting to senior management.
