Quantity Surveyor – Facade/Cladding or Main Contractor Experience – Essex

The Company

My client are headquartered in Essex with a strategic presence in central London. They are an established company with a stable turnover and healthy profit margins. Their clients include numerous Top 50 main contractors, developers, and landowners, working on a wide range of landmark projects, both residential and commercial. The company places a very strong emphasis on individuals’ development within the company, which has led to low staff turnover.

The Role – Quantity Surveyor

Working alongside their Divisional Commercial Director, you will be helping to deliver safe buildings across London, taking responsibility for all commercial aspects of specific high‑value projects.

Responsibilities

• Understand and administer project contractual requirements.
• Prepare, negotiate, and issue Applications for Payment, Contractual Notices, Variations, and Loss & Expense claims.
• Manage and maintain accurate project records.
• Produce monthly financial reports, including CVR, risk and opportunity registers, and ISV forecasting.
• Lead the procurement process, including preparing procurement plans and engaging the project team.
• Conduct tenders, analyse supplier quotations, and place orders for project packages.
