Kirby Group Engineering in Glasgow is seeking a Commercial Lead with expertise in cost management, procurement, risk, and contract administration for long-term, high-value projects.

You will develop detailed cost plans, manage subcontractor accounts, and prepare regular progress reports. The role also involves negotiating contracts, guiding procurement, and mentoring junior surveyors to ensure delivery on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsabilités

• Review Tender budgets and validation to ensure all scope is captured and risks identified.
• Develop detailed cost plans and keep them updated weekly.
• Manage subcontractor accounts, interim valuations, and final accounts; process payments as per terms.
• Prepare weekly and monthly commercial project reports with cost plans, cash flow forecasts, schedules, and risk assessments.
• Draft, review and negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with contractual terms; manage changes, variations, claims and dispute resolution.
• Oversee procurement in collaboration with Project/Procurement teams; select suppliers and sub-contractors; negotiate tenders for best value.
• Manage supplier relationships and performance; identify and mitigate project risks.
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders; attend meetings; manage interim commercial reviews.
• Lead and mentor junior quantity surveyors; promote continuous improvement and best practices.
