Job summary

Kirby Group Engineering in Glasgow is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor with substations experience to drive the commercial delivery of high voltage projects. You will manage cost control, contract administration, valuations and project financial management to ensure cost-effective execution from the Glasgow area.

Qualifications

• 3rd level qualification in Construction Economics / Quantity Surveying (or equivalent).
• 5+ years experience in a similar role.
• Proficient in Excel and cost reporting.
• Knowledge of NEC3 contract terms and applications.
• Excellent communication/interpersonal skills.
• Strong record keeping and administration skills.
• NEC3 contract experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage budgets, BOQs, and profit plans.
• Lead interim commercial meetings with Client and Internal Team.
• Manage subcontractor accounts, valuations, final accounts and payments.
• Issue interim and final accounts, progress claims and re-measurements.
• Identify commercial risks and report to Senior Management.
• Collaborate with Planning Engineer on progress reporting.
• Maintain accurate records and support cost tracking.
