Job summary

Kirby Group Engineering in the United Kingdom seeks a Senior Estimator to drive estimation excellence for major projects. You will lead estimation activities, coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver accurate takeoffs, bid submissions and robust commercial outcomes.

You will be responsible for managing tender processes, reviewing specifications, and presenting clear technical submissions. This role offers professional growth within a dynamic, international engineering services

Qualifications

• 3rd level qualification in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years’ construction industry experience, with 2 years in a Senior Electrical Estimator role.
• Experience in Power and Renewables.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint & Excel).

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates from scope and takeoffs using the estimating system.
• Read Electrical Technical Specifications and Employers Requirements for HV substations and windfarms.
• Manage tender process with departments and submit on time.
• Contribute to technical submission of inclusions, exclusions and programme.
• Coordinate quotation requests and review quotations.
• Handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Identify risks and advise bid team with solutions.
• Follow up on tenders and document feedback.
• Brief Construction Team at handover on estimate, scope, quotes.
