Job summary

Kilnbridge is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial performance on a major civil engineering project in Northamptonshire. You will own budgets, CVRs, valuations and final accounts, working with the Project Manager, client and delivery teams on site.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience with NEC/JCT contracts, cost control and risk management in self-delivery environments, and holds a Quantity Surveying degree or equivalent. On-site presence is a requirement.

Qualifications

• Experience managing project budgets, forecasting, CVRs and reporting.
• Experience with NEC and/or JCT contracts and cost control on large projects.
• Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or related field.
• Site-based civil/infrastructure project experience preferred.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to report on risks and opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Take full commercial ownership from handover to final account with robust financial control.
• Develop and manage budgets, cost plans, CVRs, cash flow forecasts and monthly cost reconciliations.
• Measure and value completed works; prepare interim payments and recover variations.
• Manage change control, variations, compensation events and other submissions.
• Monitor costs, productivity and resource expenditure with accurate records.
