Job summary

Kilnbridge in Merseyside is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial performance on a high-profile civil/ infrastructure project. You’ll work with the Project Manager, client and delivery teams to deliver robust financial control from mobilisation through to final account.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in budgets, forecasts, CVRs, and commercial reporting, plus NEC/JCT familiarity and strong stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• Experience managing project budgets, forecasting, CVRs and commercial reporting.
• Ability to take ownership of commercial performance across the project lifecycle.
• Experience procuring and managing subcontractors, including payment assessments.
• Strong cost control, risk management and contract administration knowledge.
• Excellent communicator and negotiator with client and team stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Take full commercial ownership from handover to final account with strong financial control.
• Develop and manage budgets, cash flow forecasts and CVRs, analyze performance and margins.
• Value completed works, prepare interim payments and capture variations and entitlements.
• Manage change control, including variations, compensation events and submissions.
• Monitor costs, productivity and resources, maintain records to support commercial performance.
• Support claims, loss and expense submissions, EOT and final accounts negotiations.
• Procure and manage subcontractors; assess applications; manage accounts.
• Provide commercial guidance to project teams and mentor junior QS staff.
