Kenton Black Limited seeks a Senior Quantity Surveyor on a freelance long-term contract across the East Midlands region. You will manage commercial delivery for major civil engineering projects, from procurement through final account, within a fast-paced environment.

The role requires proven experience in civil engineering, NEC contracts, and strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills. You will contribute to cost control, reporting, and commercial success.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering.
• Experience delivering infrastructure, highways, earthworks, or major civils projects.
• Strong commercial reporting and forecasting abilities.

Responsabilités

• Manage the commercial performance of multiple civil engineering projects.
• Administer NEC contracts and ensure contractual compliance.
• Prepare and manage valuations, applications for payment, and final accounts.
• Assess and negotiate variations and compensation events.
• Monitor project costs and prepare accurate cost forecasts.
• Procure and manage subcontract packages.
• Produce monthly commercial reports and CVRs.
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Liaise with operational teams, clients, subcontractors, and key stakeholders.
• Ensure commercial objectives are achieved while maintaining strong client relationships.
