Job summary

Kier Group plc. is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the STEP Programme delivered by Kier Nuvia JV. The role focuses on delivering commercial objectives, managing cost forecasts, and ensuring value for money while maintaining rigorous governance and risk management.

You will build strong client relationships and drive profitability across assigned packages. Responsibilities include administering NEC4 contracts, managing subcontractors, and delivering robust cost reporting.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within major infrastructure, energy, nuclear, defence or complex construction projects.
• Experience managing complex subcontract procurement and commercial package management.
• Thorough understanding of the NEC suite of contracts.
• Strong cost planning, forecasting and reporting capability with negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of programme commercial objectives, profitability targets, and cash performance.
• Administer NEC4 contracts, including compensation events, early warnings and contractual notices.
• Manage subcontractors from procurement through final account, building collaborative relationships.
• Develop and maintain detailed cost forecasts, cost-to-complete assessments, and performance reports.
• Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities across assigned packages.
