Job summary

Vital Energi Ltd. is seeking an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor for a 6 month fixed term contract to provide commercial leadership across a portfolio of projects. You will drive profitability, manage CVRs, cash flow and final accounts while mentoring high-performing teams.

The successful candidate will have a degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management, senior QS experience and strong knowledge of NEC/JCT contracts, with willingness to travel in the UK.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or related discipline.
• Significant experience in Senior QS, Commercial Manager, or Managing QS roles.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities with financial acumen.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the UK.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop commercial teams with governance and development focus.
• Manage project budgets, forecasts, CVRs, cash flow and reporting to drive profitability.
• Monitor performance, identify commercial risks and opportunities across projects.
• Provide strategic advice on contract administration, variations, claims and final accounts.
• Oversee procurement, subcontractor management and supply chain performance.
• Build relationships with clients, consultants and stakeholders for negotiations and delivery.
• Ensure consistency in processes and governance across projects.
• Support growth through resource planning and succession planning.
