Job summary

UK Staffing Group is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor/Senior Quantity Surveyor for site-based work in Stansted, Essex. The role involves full commercial ownership from pre-construction to final accounts on high-value fit-out and specialist projects across the UK.

You will manage budgets, valuations, payments and variations, with strong focus on M&E-led packages and subcontractor coordination. Excellent commercial and contractual acumen is required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor.
• Experience in commercial construction or fit-out environments.
• Experience with M&E-led projects and complex packages.

Responsibilities

• Take commercial ownership of projects from pre-construction through to completion.
• Manage project budgets, costs and forecasts.
• Prepare and manage valuations, applications and payments.
• Manage variations, change control and commercial risk.
• Procure and manage subcontractor packages.
• Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Produce accurate financial reporting and forecasting.
• Prepare, negotiate and agree final accounts.
