Job summary

Kenna Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading construction business and deliver major projects across East Anglia. You will manage the commercial scope from procurement through final account, ensuring strong financial control, risk management and profitable outcomes while working with clients, consultants and supply chain partners.

This role requires Tier 1 main contractor experience; education/public-sector schemes are advantageous, with mentorship

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Senior Quantity Surveyor on large-scale projects.
• Experience with education/public-sector schemes is advantageous.
• Strong financial control and reporting capabilities.
• Leadership of commercial teams across projects.
• Procurement, subcontract accounts and final accounts handling.

Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial management from procurement through final account.
• Maintain accurate financial reporting and forecasting.
• Maximise profitability while maintaining client relations.
• Identify and mitigate commercial and contractual risks.
• Manage project variations, valuations, applications and final accounts.
• Oversee procurement and subcontract order placement.
• Negotiate subcontract terms with the project team.
• Support extensions of time and contractual claims where needed.
• Lead value engineering initiatives with stakeholders.
• Mentor and develop junior commercial team members.
