Job summary

Mitie Power & Grid is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial activities across major infrastructure projects UK-wide. You will drive value, manage contracts and champion robust commercial controls within a hybrid working environment.

You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, planners and clients, overseeing budgets, CVRs and final accounts while mentoring junior staff and contributing to process improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Senior/Quantity Surveyor in infrastructure or energy sectors.
• Strong commercial and contractual awareness with proven leadership.
• Experience managing subcontractor accounts, change control and final accounts.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial management of major projects or workstreams from award to final account.
• Maintain robust commercial controls and prepare budgets, forecasts and CVRs.
• Administer contracts (NEC, JCT, FIDIC) and manage variations and payment applications.
• Support procurement, subcontractor management and client meetings.
• Mentor junior commercial team members and share best practice.
