Job summary

Mitie Power & Grid in the UK is looking for an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor or Junior Quantity Surveyor to join the Major Projects team and develop their career in a thriving energy infrastructure environment.

You will gain exposure to NEC/JCT/FIDIC contracts, support cost reporting, procurement and final account work, with mentoring and flexible hybrid working across UK-wide projects.

Qualifications

• Interest in pursuing a career in Quantity Surveying / Commercial Management.
• Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Full UK Driving Licence or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Assist the commercial team with day-to-day management of project finances and commercial activities.
• Support the preparation of cost reports, forecasts and budgets.
• Assist in producing CVRs and cash flow forecasts.
• Help monitor project performance against budgets and targets.
• Maintain accurate commercial records and documentation.
