Job summary

Abatec Recruitment is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support Welsh Water projects across South Wales. The role involves taking commercial responsibility for a portfolio, managing contracts, and maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships from tender through to final accounts.

The successful candidate will have a strong civil engineering/utility background, NEC contract knowledge and proven experience delivering costed projects within a contractor environment.

Qualifications

• Strong background in civil engineering, utilities or infrastructure.
• Experience working within a contractor environment.
• Experience managing the commercial side of multiple projects.
• Strong NEC contract knowledge.
• Experience with valuations, variations, change control and final accounts.
• Good client and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Take commercial responsibility for a portfolio of Welsh Water projects from tender through to final account.
• Work with the operations team, Welsh Water and supply chain to ensure profitable delivery.
• Maintain client relationships and support commercial management of projects.
