Job summary

Abatec Recruitment is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial management of civil engineering projects across South Wales, including Bridgend. The role is largely office-based with site visits, focusing on cost control, subcontractor management, and timely payments.

You will hold an HND/Degree in Quantity Surveying, have UK-specific experience, and contribute to profit through accurate reporting, value engineering, and compliant contract administration.

Qualifications

• Manage all commercial aspects of allocated projects from inception to completion.
• Prepare, submit, and agree applications for payment and final accounts.
• Procure, appoint, and manage subcontractors, ensuring value for money and contractual compliance.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with clients, project managers and site teams to meet commercial objectives.
• Maintain accurate records, reports and forecasts for stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, contract terms and legislation.
