Job summary

Kier Group in Bedfordshire is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the East Hyde STW Growth Project team based in East Hyde. You will lead the commercial delivery of work packages and guide the commercial team through design progress and contract controls.

The role emphasizes cost, risk and contract management, with opportunities to influence commercial strategy and ensure robust controls across a complex multi-disciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• Academic qualification in a construction related degree.
• Full driving licence.
• Experience in a commercial role for a contractor.
• Experience with a variety of contract forms.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement activities including tender evaluation, recommendation and subcontract award.
• Administer subcontract accounts, valuations, change events and final accounts.
• Provide leadership, support and mentoring to Quantity Surveyors within the project team.
• Managing project change, risk and opportunity while ensuring contractual compliance.
• Contributing to commercial reporting including CVR, forecasting and cashflow management.
