Job summary

Hampshire Recruitment Group is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor for its Manchester office on behalf of a leading and rapidly expanding infrastructure contractor.

You will take ownership of major projects, lead a small commercial team of two Junior Quantity Surveyors and a Document Controller, and drive commercial performance across civil engineering, renewables, data centres, electrical infrastructure and utilities.

Qualifications

• Experience as Senior Quantity Surveyor in civil engineering or related sectors.
• Strong tendering, procurement and contract management skills.
• Excellent knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts.
• Experience leading and developing junior team members.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying; RICS membership or progress advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Full commercial management of projects from tender award to final account.
• Lead tendering activities, cost planning, pricing reviews and bid submissions.
• Review, negotiate and administer NEC and JCT contracts.
• Manage procurement and subcontract packages.
• Prepare, submit and negotiate valuations and final accounts.
• Develop and mentor junior team members and oversee document control.
