Job summary

Pegasus Search & Selection is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the infrastructure team in London. You will take ownership of commercial and cost management across the project lifecycle on a major UK infrastructure programme, working closely with client, contractors and project teams.

The role offers client exposure, noticeable responsibility and a clear route for progression, with a strong emphasis on development and mentoring of junior team members.

Qualifications

• Experience in infrastructure environments, preferably in consultancy, main contractor or client organisations.
• A strong understanding of NEC contracts (NEC3/NEC4) and cost/commercial management.
• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying; MRICS advantageous, chartership considered.

Responsibilities

• Cost monitoring, forecasting and reporting through to completion
• Contract administration and commercial management
• Managing change, cost variance and contract cash flow
• Preparing and assessing valuations and applications for payment
• Supporting procurement and tendering activity
• Reviewing estimates, budgets and commercial forecasts
• Monitoring project and programme performance with contractor and client teams
• Identifying opportunities for value engineering and improved commercial outcomes
• Managing change control in line with project governance
• Negotiating and agreeing final accounts
• Providing commercial advice to clients and project stakeholders
• Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team
• Managing commissions and developing strong client relationships
