Job summary

Talent Link is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a civil engineering and infrastructure contractor in London. The role leads commercial performance across a portfolio, focusing on cost efficiency, reporting, and risk management.

You will manage cost control, forecasting, and subcontract procurement, while guiding junior commercial staff and liaising with clients and supply chain.

Qualifications

• HND, HNC, or Degree in Quantity Surveying
• Experience with NEC3/NEC4 contracts is preferred
• Knowledge of IChemE and NEC forms of contract and construction law
• Experience in cost reporting, forecasting, and financial controls
• Familiarity with water, utilities, or civil engineering projects
• CSCS card and proactive commercial advisory mindset

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and timely cost and value reporting at project and business unit level
• Draft and update monthly CVRs, cost plans, and commercial plans
• Deliver accurate cash flow reporting and manage cost control and project forecasting
• Compile upstream applications for payment through to final account settlement
• Lead subcontract procurement, negotiation, and post-contract management
• Manage main contract and subcontract agreements (IChemE/NEC forms)
• Protect the business from commercial and contractual risk throughout the project lifecycle
• Share best practice and advise site teams on cost management and efficiencies
• Support and guide junior commercial staff
• Liaise with clients, third parties, and supply chain on all commercial matters
