Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in the West Midlands, UK, is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead pre- and post-contract QS activities. You will collaborate with client teams, manage costs, and provide financial reporting and risk updates to ensure project success.

You will support procurement, administer contracts and maintain records while mentoring junior staff across education, commercial, industrial, retail and aviation projects in the broader UK.

Qualifications

• BSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Chartered status with RICS preferred.
• Experience in pre- and post-contract QS duties.
• Experience with JCT/NEC contracts.
• Understanding of measurement methods (NRM).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with client teams and leadership, project managers, contractors and internal teams.
• Validate and manage contractor and supplier costs & payments.
• Provide regular financial reports and risk updates for clients.
• Undertake procurement or support procurement teams in evaluating contractors.
• Administer various contract types and ensure compliance with terms and conditions.
• Maintain accurate project records with Project Managers.
• Identify and mitigate commercial risks; support value engineering.
• Support and mentor junior QS staff.
