Job summary

Carrington West is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team on the EKFB section of HS2, based in Milton Keynes with hybrid working. The role requires extensive NEC3 experience, managing costs, change, and subcontractors, and taking commercial ownership of complex packages.

You will deliver robust commercial reporting, risk management and governance across major infrastructure works, while supporting junior team members and liaising with stakeholders to keep the programme on

Qualifications

• Experience delivering major infrastructure projects for a main contractor.
• Extensive NEC contracts experience (prefer NEC3).
• Proven ability to manage subcontractor packages and cost reporting.

Responsibilities

• Take commercial ownership of major infrastructure packages.
• Administer NEC contracts and manage change including compensation events.
• Oversee subcontractor packages: procurement, valuations, payments, variations, final accounts.
• Identify and manage commercial risks; provide reporting to project team.
• Support junior members of the commercial team.
