Job summary

Galliford Try Group is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our Infrastructure division in Cheltenham, supporting delivery of a £300m highways project. You will work with Managing Quantity Surveyors to manage commercial administration, reporting and performance on this major development.

The role requires experience with NEC contracts, highways schemes, strong IT skills (Excel/Word, CEMAR, Oracle) and excellent stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• Good appreciation of NEC contracts.
• Experience of working on major highways schemes.
• Strong IT skills including Excel, Word & Contractual and Cost Management Systems (CEMAR, Oracle).
• Strong stakeholder management and communication capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to creating a safe working environment
• Produce and negotiate subcontract documentation, including terms, prices, and schedules
• Manage subcontract works packages, including interim assessments and change management
• Issue commercial notices to the Client and Subcontractors as required by the contract
• Manage contract changes, including Compensation Event Quotations, and submit monthly applications to the Client
• Collaborate with operational and engineering teams to maintain proper site records
• Generate detailed monthly reports, Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR), and maintain a comprehensive Cost Plan
• Attend progress and risk reduction meetings, applying contractual expertise to support estimating and bid teams
