Job summary

Galliford Try is seeking two Senior Quantity Surveyors to join our Infrastructure division on a £300m highways project in Cheltenham. You will work closely with Managing Quantity Surveyors to manage commercial administration, reporting and performance on this major highways development.

This role requires experience with NEC contracts, major civil schemes, and strong IT skills (Excel, Word, CEMAR, Oracle). Professional qualification such as MCIOB or MRICS is preferred.

Qualifications

• Good appreciation of NEC contracts.
• Experience on major civil engineering schemes.
• Strong IT skills with Excel, Word and CEMAR/Oracle.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication capabilities.
• Professional qualification such as MCIOB or MRICS, ideally Incorporated member or working towards full membership.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe working environment.
• Main contract administration with focus on change management (compensation event quotations) and internal reporting.
• Ensure works are compliant with the contract and business management procedures.
• Produce and negotiate Subcontract documentation including terms, prices and programme.
• Manage subcontract works packages including interim assessments and change management.
• Produce and issue all commercial notices to Client and Subcontractors as required by the contract.
• Oversee and manage changes in a timely manner, including Compensation Event Quotations.
• Produce, submit and agree monthly applications with the Client per contract terms.
• Liaise with operational and engineering staff to maintain site records.
• Produce detailed monthly reports, CVR, and maintain a Cost Plan with expenditure tracking and forecasting.
