Job summary

Galliford Try is recruiting a Managing Quantity Surveyor for highways schemes in Derbyshire within its infrastructure division. You will oversee the commercial performance for one large project or several smaller schemes, coordinating with operational colleagues and the commercial line manager.

The role includes administering contracts, reviewing subcontract documents, and producing monthly payment applications, with a strong focus on cost management, forecasting and expenditure reporting.

Qualifications

• Understanding of construction processes and NEC contracts.
• Proven leadership and negotiation skills.
• Experience with final account settlements.
• CSCS card and broad commercial experience or relevant degree.

Responsibilities

• Administer contracts and manage changes on highways projects.
• Prepare subcontract documents and monthly payment applications.
• Lead cost management: forecasting, cost plans and expenditure reports.
• Support project manager on risk, planning and progress meetings.
