Balfour Beatty Ground Engineering in Ipswich is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the Ground Engineering team within the Geotechnical Sub Alliance on Sizewell C. The role focuses on robust commercial governance, cost management, and risk/opportunity tracking across work packages.

You will support the Managing Surveyor, mentor junior QS staff, manage NEC4 contracts, and ensure accurate forecasting and governance in a dynamic infrastructure environment.

Qualifications

• The successful applicant will have Quantity Surveying qualifications and relevant professional background.
• Experience delivering commercial governance and cost management for complex projects.
• Strong governance, delay, disruption, productivity, and cost impacts understanding.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial activities across allocated work packages with cost control and governance.
• Prepare and validate cost value reconciliations, forecasts, and reports.
• Oversee subcontractor accounts including change control and payments.
• Administer NEC4 contracts and change management processes.
• Collaborate with project teams to identify and manage changes.
• Maintain compliant commercial records and documentation.
• Support procurement with tender documentation and evaluations.
• Coordinate with engineering, planning, delivery and commercial teams.
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities and support mitigation.
