Job summary

Kier Group is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor for its Construction team based in Waterbeach, Cambridge. You will manage commercial resources to maximise project profitability and lead subcontractor management across major regional projects.

The role focuses on controlling contracts, valuing work for invoicing, and driving robust risk management within multidisciplinary teams and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Clear communication across multidisciplinary teams, clients and supply chains.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise effectively.
• Collaborative team player who can also use own initiative.
• Ability to use a range of IT packages including Microsoft Office and bespoke systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial resources to maximise gross margin and project profitability.
• Appoint subcontractors and place orders for materials and plant within delegated authorities.
• Measure and value work to support invoicing of customers and payment to suppliers.
• Lead and motivate the project's commercial staff to ensure collaborative relationships.
• Assess, control and mitigate commercial and contractual risks while implementing risk management policies.
