Job summary

Bowdon Associates Limited is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor in the North West to manage all commercial aspects of façade projects, from tender to final account, including cost plans, budgets and BOQs, and to ensure financial outcomes align with project objectives.

Based near Warrington with easy commuting, you will lead procurement, negotiate with subcontractors, monitor costs, and mentor junior staff while liaising with clients and design teams to deliver cost-efficient solutions.

Qualifications

• Proven Senior QS experience in façade/cladding subcontract sector.
• Strong working knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts with practical application.
• Experience managing packages end-to-end and independently.
• Excellent numeracy, negotiation and communication skills.
• Bachelor degree in Quantity Surveying (BSc Hons).
• CSCS Card and Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage all commercial aspects of façade projects from tender to final account, including pricing, budgets, BOQs and CVRs.
• Administer contracts under JCT and NEC forms, managing variations, compensation events and claims.
• Lead procurement and negotiation with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Monitor and control costs, proactively identifying risks and opportunities.
• Prepare valuations, payment applications and cash flow projections.
• Liaise with clients, consultants and project teams, attending meetings and site visits.
• Mentor and support junior quantity surveyors and commercial staff.
