Job summary

Box Recruitment Group is seeking a Senior Estimator/Quantity Surveyor for façades and building envelope projects. Based in our Manchester office, you will manage cost estimation from enquiries to tender submissions, review drawings, and engage with suppliers and clients.

Candidates should have solid experience in façade remediation, cladding, and related building envelope works, with through-wall construction knowledge and PCSA pricing experience.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator within façade remediation, building envelope, cladding, or related construction sectors or QS/Quantity surveying experience.
• A solid knowledge of system performance and their requirements to meet building safety standards.
• PCSA project pricing.
• Good prelim strategy knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Preparing accurate cost estimates for façade remediation and construction projects valued up to £10 million.
• Managing the estimating process from initial enquiry through to final tender submission.
• Reviewing drawings, specifications, schedules, and tender documentation.
• Interrogate and understand FRAEWs reports.
• Producing detailed quantity take-offs and cost plans.
• Obtaining and analysing supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Identifying commercial risks and value engineering opportunities.
• Supporting projects through the PCSA (Pre-Construction Services Agreement) process.
• Liaising with internal teams, clients, consultants, and subcontractors throughout the pre-construction phase.
• Undertaking occasional site visits to assess project requirements and gather information.
