Façade Contractors Ltd. in the North of England is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial activities on façade and building envelope projects across the UK. You will manage contract value from award through final account, ensuring profitability and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial delivery of façade and cladding projects from contract award to final account.

• Manage variations, change control and compensation events.
• Identify commercial risks and implement mitigation strategies.

Senior Quantity Surveyor - Façade & Building Envelope Projects

A leading specialist façade contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile façade and building envelope projects ranging from £1m to £20m across the UK.

The successful candidate will play a key role in managing the commercial aspects of multiple projects, ensuring profitability, contractual compliance, and successful project delivery from pre-construction through to final account.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing the commercial delivery of façade and cladding projects from contract award to final account.
• Preparing, reviewing and negotiating subcontract agreements.
• Producing accurate cost reports, forecasts and cash flow projections.
• Valuing completed works and submitting applications for payment.
• Managing variations, change control and compensation events.
• Identifying commercial risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
• Reviewing contract documentation and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
• Liaising closely with project managers, design teams, clients and subcontractors.
• Managing procurement schedules and supporting buying activities.
• Leading final account negotiations and securing project profitability.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within the façade, curtain walling, cladding or building envelope sector.
• Strong understanding of JCT and NEC forms of contract.
• Experience managing projects valued between £1m and £20m+.
• Excellent commercial awareness and contractual knowledge.
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline (preferred).
