Job summary

EGIS, based in Warrington, seeks a Quantity Surveyor to support project managers from concept to financial close. You will manage commercial contracts, risk, and cost control to deliver high-quality outcomes on critical projects.

Candidates with NEC3/NEC4 and FIDIC contract experience are preferred. The role requires a self-starter attitude, strong communication, MS Outlook/Excel skills, and willingness to travel. Hybrid working from the Stockton Heath office, full-time hours.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in T&D or a related field.
• Self-starter with ability to work remotely from management.
• Experience with NEC and FIDIC contract forms.
• Proficient in MS Outlook and MS Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel for company business.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain professional relationships with internal and external parties.
• Support project team in establishing commercial contracts and risk guidance.
• Undertaken procurement activities including tender analysis and awards.
• Prepare Early Warnings, Compensation Events, and PM communications.
• Cost assurance activities on a portfolio of projects; ensure payments are justified.
• Provide contract and risk management support and attend risk meetings.
• Monitor expenditure versus budgets and forecasts.
• Prepare cashflow forecasts and cost reporting for stakeholders.
• Assist in avoiding disputes with clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Contribute to commercial responses to clients and subcontractors.
