Job summary

Randstad CPE in West London is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial aspects on a flagship data centre project. You will own major procurement packages and manage the commercial lifecycle.

The role demands sharp commercial acumen, detailed cost reporting, and ability to negotiate on large multi-million-pound packages, with mentoring for junior staff. You will work closely with the client, design teams and supply chain, and benefit from a competitive base salary, car

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.
• MRICS membership is an advantage but not essential.
• Strong working knowledge of JCT and/or NEC forms of contract.

Responsibilities

• Take full commercial ownership of major procurement packages.
• Manage the end-to-end commercial life-cycle, from procurement and sub-contractor management to final accounts.
• Detailed cost reporting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Identifying and mitigating commercial risks, whilst maximising project margins.
• Administering standard forms of contract (JCT / NEC) and managing variations and early warning notices.
• Mentoring and guiding junior members of the commercial team.
• Building strong, collaborative relationships with the client, design teams, and supply chain partners.
