Job summary

Vertical Recruitment Limited is partnering with an established construction consultancy to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor for its Data Centre team in London. Based from the London office with hybrid working, you will oversee cost planning, procurement strategies and post-construction cost control across EMEA projects, collaborating with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams.

MRICS qualification or progression toward chartership is supported, with clear opportunities for

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or-equivalent in Quantity Surveying.
• MRICS qualification or willingness to work toward chartership.
• Extensive cost management experience on data centre or large-scale technically complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage cost plans, estimates and budgets during pre-construction.
• Support procurement strategies, tender documentation and contractor appointments.
• Provide commercial advice during design development including value engineering.
• Manage cost reporting, cash flow forecasts and commercial risk.
• Review contractor applications, variations and change control during construction.
• Monitor expenditure against budgets and report cost performance.
• Support contract administration and final accounts.
