Senior Quantity Surveyor (Cut and Carve), Bankside, London - UK South Build Division

We are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our UK South Build division. We need a strong lead SQS, someone who will handle the CVR, attend Client meetings, etc. The plan is for a Construction Manager to sit on the project until everything is procured and the project is up and running, then the SQS will take over to complete the project, with the CM working part-time thereafter.

Key Responsibilities

1. Integrate the commercial strategy, adjusting it as the project develops.
2. Collaborate with and influence the team and construction process commercially.
3. Manage contractual and commercial issues, including preparing tenders, analyzing and selecting subcontractors, finalizing orders, and managing financials to Final Account completion. Prepare and agree valuations, certificates, invoices, and payments. Update projected Final Accounts regularly and prepare, submit, and agree on the Final Account promptly.
4. Control traditional contracts and contracts over €/£15m.
5. Record and submit claims related to delays and loss/expense, formulate detailed arguments, and represent the company accordingly.
