The Senior Quantity Surveyor will provide high contractual and commercial advice and support to their respective Project Surveyor(s) and commercial team(s). This will be a number 2 on site, reporting into the commercial lead.

The Project:

This is a fantastic £135m, Grade II listed, cut and carve project based in the heart of London and we will be transforming the existing Edwardian building into a high-end commercial and mixed-use space.

The project is a short walk from Moorgate/Liverpool St stations.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Accept responsibility for a single large project or multiple projects and oversee the delivery of financial and commercial targets while ensuring best practices are employed, including budgetary controls, maximization of profit, and maintenance of positive cash flow.
2. Ensure the Project Surveyor and commercial team properly understand the procurement process and targets in securing the services of Sub-Contractors/Suppliers/Design Consultants.
3. Ensure the placement of robust Orders occurs before work commences in accordance with current company contractual arrangements.
4. Provide reliable advice to Construction Directors and Project Managers on financial, progress, and contractual related matters.
5. Prepare and present accurate internal cost and value reports in a timely manner.
6. Manage timely interim applications for payment, retention, and final account applications.
7. Administer Sub-Contractors and Suppliers in accordance with the terms and conditions of company Sub-Contract arrangements.
8. Notify Managing Surveyor, Construction Director, and Project Manager of any commercial disagreements with Employer and Sub-Contractors/Suppliers.

Minimum Requirements:

1. BSc Quantity Surveying or equivalent
2. Chartered member of RICS
3. Negotiation training
4. CVR training
5. Practical knowledge of ASTA PowerProjects or MS Projects 2013/2016
