Quantity Surveyor (Cut and Carve) - Bankside, London. UK South Build Division

The UK Build South Business is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join the team. Working alongside the Project Director, the role will involve working within & assisting the commercial & construction team to ensure a successful project is delivered, while maintaining relationships, maximising commercial returns and managing risk.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Preparing tenders, analysing, selecting appropriate subcontracts, negotiation & finalising subcontract orders, financial & commercial management of subcontracts to Final Account completion.
• Managing and reporting of forecasts, targets, reconciliations, site records, document control, variation reporting, valuations, assisting in site records & document control.
• Liaising with & commercially influencing/challenging the site management team whilst maintaining & protecting JSS's commercial & contractual entitlement.
• Managing & overseeing AQS & TQS, checking & taking responsibility for their work & signing off SMM/measurement issues.

Qualifications:

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor in build projects.
• Experience working on large Hospital/Health care schemes (ideal for one of the projects).
• A relevant 3rd level qualification.
• Experience in report writing, forecast planning and engaging with clients and senior leaders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
