Job summary

Barratt Developments plc is seeking a commercially minded professional to manage site costs, budgets and valuations for a North Scotland project. The role covers cost control, reporting and value engineering, with responsibility for subcontractor procurement and adherence to NHBC and building regulations.

Qualifications

• Highly numerate with excellent attention to detail, able to gather, interpret and present data to facilitate budgets and valuations.
• Strong IT skills, knowledge of project management/payment and valuation software.
• Articulate, credible, able to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cost control procedures and report against budgets and valuations.
• Prepare tenders and procure sub-contractors, goods and materials.
• Value engineer all trades and manage variations within allowances.
• Lead cost control, budget management and final cost reconciliation.
• Liaise with site personnel and subcontractors to maximise productivity.
