Kenton Black are recruiting for a permanent Senior Quantity Surveyor role in Aberdeen. Our client is a reputable main contractor with a strong presence in commercial and public sector construction, seeking to strengthen their commercial team.

Responsibilities include managing costs across multiple projects from tender to final account, preparing bills of quantities and valuation reports, and maintaining all contractual commercial aspects while identifying risks and opportunities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven track record as a QS in main contracting.
• Strong knowledge of contracts and commercial processes.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage costs across multiple projects from tender to final account
• Prepare bills of quantities, subcontract packages, and valuation reports
• Ensure all commercial aspects of the contract are maintained effectively
• Identify and manage potential commercial risks and opportunities
• Collaborate with site teams, subcontractors, and external consultants
