Job summary

McLaughlin & Harvey Ltd, a leading UK construction specialist, is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our WorkSpace division. Based across the UK with projects, you will manage cost planning, procurement, and commercial delivery on major fit-out and construction schemes, ensuring value, risk control and profitability.

You will lead the Commercial team, mentor junior surveyors and build strong client and subcontractor relationships.

Qualifications

• A Degree in Quantity Surveying with professional accreditation.
• Extensive construction experience across multiple sectors.
• Proactive approach, takes initiative and responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts.
• Excellent negotiation, numeracy and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost plans, budgets and value optimisations.
• Procure subcontractors and issue orders.
• Certify interim payments and manage variations.
• Lead a commercial team and mentor junior staff.
• Foster relationships with clients and supply chain.
