Daniel Owen Ltd is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead the commercial management of a £16m retrofit refurbishment project for four high-rise buildings in Bristol. The role demands strong cost control, contractual expertise, and close collaboration with clients and supply chain partners.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in social housing refurbishment, NEC4 knowledge (desirable), and a proven track record in financial reporting and management accounts.

Qualifications

• Experienced Quantity Surveyor / Senior QS.
• Social housing refurbishment experience.
• Strong commercial and contractual knowledge.
• Excellent Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.
• Experience with management accounts and financial reporting.
• NEC4 knowledge desirable.
• Retrofit experience advantageous.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Relevant industry qualification.

Responsibilities

I'm currently recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading social housing specialist on a newly secured £16m retrofit refurbishment contract.

The project covers 4 high-rise buildings, including cladding renewals, mass-climber scaffolding and associated refurbishment works.

The role:

• Lead commercial management of the £16m contract.


• Manage costs, budgets, cash flow and financial reporting.


• Ensure full contractual entitlement and maximise commercial performance.


• Manage subcontractor orders, variations, disputes and commercial risk.


• Provide contractual and commercial advice to the project team.


• Work closely with the client, supply chain and internal stakeholders.

We're looking for:
