Job summary

Taylor Woodrow in Bristol is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead the commercial management of highways and civils projects for a long-term client, with project values between £5 million and £10 million. You will take the commercial lead on costs across a Framework project and mentor a team of surveyors, driving value and delivery.

Ideal candidates will have civil engineering exposure, rail experience a plus, and proven ability to build client relationships while coordinating with project

Qualifications

• Quantity Surveying degree is desired.
• Experience working on Civil Engineering projects.
• Experience with rail would be beneficial.
• Ability to establish, build and maintain client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage project, ensuring adherence to programme schedules and budgets.
• Lead the commercial management of contracts (NEC), including forecasting, tendering elements, cost reporting, sub contract management and contract administration.

• Drive cost efficiency through value engineering and effective procurement strategies.
• Ensure robust risk management and contractual compliance across all projects.
• Mentor and develop a team of Quantity Surveyors, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Report on project performance and provide strategic commercial insights to senior leadership.

We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Bristol working on various highways and civils projects with a long term client overseeing projects between £5million - £10million.

The role will be responsible for taking the commercial lead on managing the costs across a Framework project and would suit somebody with experience within civil engineering / rail.
